CP YOUTH

WE are a ministry for all middle and high school students

CP Youth meets on Thursday nights from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Timberlake location! This is a place for students to have fun, build relationships, read God's Word, and pursue Christ together through prayer and discipleship small groups.

MISSIOn

To lead middle and high school students to develop a love for Jesus that empowers them to live for Jesus.

Matthew 22:37-39 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

VALUES

To see students connected to the love of Christ and developed to be deployed in the mission of Christ.

John 8:31-32 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Core Values

Connected

INVITING: Whether it is your first time or you have been around for a while, CP Youth makes it a priority that every student on Thursday evenings is invited and included in our Christian community of students and volunteers. (Luke 14:23)

WELCOMING: Just as Jesus has welcomed us into the kingdom of heaven with open arms despite our flaws, CP Youth is a place where any and all high school and middle school students are welcomed, valued, and cared for by our students, staff, and volunteers (Romans 15:5-7)

SUPPORTING: We believe that all people matter. CP Youth seeks to live this out by having students and volunteers that care for one another selflessly.  (Hebrews 10:24 and Philippians 2:3-4)

developed

BIBLE READING: God’s Word is powerful and without error. At CP Youth we seek to develop a desire for God’s Word and skills to handle it correctly. Our students and volunteers are interested in God’s Word and pursuing Him through it. (2 Tim 3:15-16 and Hebrews 4:12)

PRAYING: Jesus made it a priority in his earthly ministry to set aside time to be with the Lord in prayer. CP Youth students and volunteers see the power of prayer and understand the relationship it develops with the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 5:17 and Mark 1:35)

ABIDING: Jesus told His disciples that apart from abiding in Him they could do nothing. At CP Youth, we help one another grow closer to Christ to know how to live and abide in Him every day.  (John 15:5)

Deployed

EVANGELIZING: Jesus has called us to share the good news of His resurrection to everyone. At CP Youth we are constantly pointing each other to the Gospel and training each other how to share it in the world. (Matthew 28:19-20 and Romans 10:14-15)

SERVING: Followers of Christ are called to acts of service that can include sacrificing their time, treasure and talent. We seek to meet the needs of others and serve out of a thankful heart. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6, Romans 12:1-2, and Matthew 20:28)

GIVING: Jesus looks at the state of our heart when we give. We have been blessed by God so much that we seek to promote giving hearts in a manner that is seeking to honor the Lord through their generosity. (Acts 2:44-45, Hebrews 13:16, and Mark 12:44)
